Quality & Experience
Our Wine Producers
A selection of our hand-picked producers from across France
Aubert & Mathieu
Aubert & Mathieu is the story of two friends, Anthony Aubert and Jean-Charles Mathieu, who met at school. A few years later, they met up for a drink: Anthony was already in the wine trade and Jean-Charles was in corporate banking.
Château Sainte Marie
Sainte Marie owner Stéphane Dupuch’s determination and superb results stand out against the ocean of indifferent Entre-Deux-Mers whites and Bordeaux Supérieur reds that are produced in the region.
Domaine Cazes
Among a wide range of small producers the Cazes brothers have emerged as the leading name in Rivesaltes. Their estate of over 350 acres enables them to produce a variety of wines, yet it is through their sweet wines that they have gained popularity.
Domaine de la Janasse
More than 40 years after Aimé Sabon established Janasse at Courthézon, this iconoclastic young Turk of yesteryear is now established as one of the southern Rhône’s finest wine estates, spanning more than 90 hectares of vineyards.
Joseph Drouhin
Maison Joseph Drouhin has accrued five generations of experience since it was established in 1880. The family is continuously dedicated to tradition and respect for Burgundy's deep heritage.
Lanson
Founded in 1760, the House of Lanson is not only one of the oldest in Champagne, but also has one of the most distinctive styles. As the house does not practise malolactic fermenation, the wines show unparalleled freshness and minerality.
Lionel Gosseaume
If wine is in the blood, it seems you just can’t fight it. Lionel Gosseaume resisted until the age of 37, before giving in to the inevitable and taking on this small estate on the Touraine/Sologne border, between the Loire and its tributary the Cher.
Louis Michel
That classic tasting note for benchmark, top-quality Chablis – precise, linear, the scent of sea-washed shingle – could have been composed with the wines of Louis Michel in mind. That much overused tasting note descriptor, ‘minerality’, truly applies here.
Trimbach
Maison Trimbach is unquestionably one of the greatest Alsace producers, highly regarded for their historic excellence and their visionary spirit. Even after 13 generations, the family (Pierre, Jean, Anne, Julien, Frédérique and Pauline currently) remain true to the philosophy handed down to them by their 19th century ancestor, Frédéric Emile.
Veuve Ambal
The association of widows or ‘veuves’ and sparkling wine extends beyond Champagne, south into Burgundy where Veuve Ambal, the leading producer of Crémant de Bourgogne, is located.
